A Waveney Valley ceramic flask decorated with underglaze colours, pencils and original screenprint. A crisp white background with orange, black underglaze pencil and cobalt blue screenprinted decoration. The design is inspired by the willow trees, hedgerows, tracks and waterways of the Waveney Valley on the border of Norfolk and Suffolk.
Height 20cm, width 10cm, depth 6.5cm approx.
About The Ceramics
Inspired and informed by traditional Lowestoft Porcelain, the influence of 'blue and white' ceramics of the 18th century and the flora, fauna and history of life in the Waveney Valley. This piece is slipcast and handpainted. The white clay body creates a fresh canvas for the hand decoration. Each piece is handmade, bisque-fired and glaze fired. The drawings and paintings on the ceramics make each piece an original work of art.
Please note: wash in warm soapy water gently, not suitable for dishwasher or microwave.
